News has been released that the actor who played Kevin on Lucille Ball's last television series, Life With Lucy, has died. Philip J. Amelio, II played Lucille Ball's grandson in that series, he also appeared in countless television commercials as well as on "All My Children". He was also the first spokesperson for Jello Pudding Pops.
He died on April 1st at 27 years old (born November 3, 1977) after only a month from discovering an infection. His death was due to a bacterial infection in the heart valve.
Philip decided to give up acting about 3 years after Life With Lucy in 1990. He instead decided to become a teacher. He earned his bachelor's degree in English and Social Studies at the University of Albany and a master's degree in Education at the College of St. Rose before going on to teach at Duanesburg High School, mid-Hudson Valley in upper New York State.

He was such a cute kid, and also very talented on "Life With Lucy." Sad to hear of his passing.
